Purpose statement

This year has been the most arduous since Olive Kids was established. The war in Gaza has resulted in the loss of countless lives, including 8 of our sponsored children, and caused many challenges for our partners on the ground. Despite the immense loss, destruction, and moments of despair, we remain deeply committed to improving the lives of Palestinian children, and have continued to deliver programs in Gaza to support children and their families throughout the war. Our Child Sponsorship Program has continued to operate throughout the year, providing a financial lifeline to 391 children and hope for a better future. Our main focus for the year has been the Emergency Appeal for Gaza, which has provided support to displaced families through various projects targeting critical needs, and other projects such as our annual Give a Gift campaign that provided clothing, gifts, and activities and psychological support for children orphaned in the war. Through these targeted programs delivered by our partners in Gaza, sometimes through very challenging and dangerous conditions, we have attempted to support the children in Gaza through these unfathomable conditions and will continue our efforts throughout.

1 operated in Australia

This year has been the most arduous since Olive Kids was established. The war in Gaza has resulted in the loss of countless lives, including 8 of our sponsored children, and caused many challenges for our partners on the ground. Despite the immense loss, destruction, and moments of despair, we remain deeply committed to improving the lives of Palestinian children, and have continued to deliver programs in Gaza to support children and their families throughout the war. Our Child Sponsorship Program has continued to operate throughout the year, providing a financial lifeline to 391 children and hope for a better future. Through these targeted programs delivered by our partners in Gaza, sometimes through very challenging and dangerous conditions, we have attempted to support the children in Gaza through these unfathomable conditions and will continue our efforts throughout.

1 operated internationally

During this most difficult year, we delivered many projects in collaboration with our partners on the ground, to support children and their families through the war in Gaza. Key highlights from our projects this year include: Child Sponsorship Program - has continued to operate throughout the year, providing a financial lifeline to 391 children and hope for a better future. Heartbreakingly, 8 of our sponsored children have been killed during the war. Al-Amal Institute for Orphans has suffered multiple attacks but remains providing care to displaced families and the many orphaned children in Gaza. Olive Kids Emergency Appeal for Gaza - this has been our main focus for the year, and has provided support to displaced families with critical needs such as food parcels, blankets and mattresses at emergency shelter locations, urgently required medical supplies. Give a Gift campaign - provided children orphaned in the current war in Gaza with gifts, new clothing and psychological support.
