Purpose statement

During the year we provided vital support and services for people with MS & other neurological conditions. The services included specialist nursing, physiotherapy, counselling, occupational therapy, welfare assistance, outreach and in-home support. During the year we provided high-support accommodation with 24-hour care in Fern River, Hamilton Hill, Treendale, Butler and Albany. In addition, respite services were provided in respite facilities at City Beach and Treendale. MSWA is the largest financial contributor to MS research in Australia, and we are determined to drive innovation until a cure is found. MSWA also contributes to research into other neurological conditions. During the financial year, $6 million was allocated to research.
