Purpose statement
Northern Coalfields as a whole delivers Aged Care services with over 45% of residents currently concessional. This is part due to the low socio-economics of the LGA. We also maintain and run in partnership with the Department of Housing a block of community housing aimed at disadvantaged people over 55yrs or people having a disability.We work closely with the local RTO's and Tafe to foster employment growth in the area.We partner with other service providers to ensure services are delivered to the local area.We donated approx 50 beds and aother assorted equipment through a service club to remote hospitals in Papua New Quinea.
Change of Purpose
Not sure if will be finallised within the 12 months but working towards day respite services, dementia cafe and mens shed to be housed on naighbouring block of land.This area will also house additinal independant living units, supported housing and community housing into the future.
