Purpose statement
The Archbishop of Sydney's Overseas Relief and Aid Fund is managed by the Archbishop of Sydney's Anglican Aid, which is the aid, development and ministry support agency of the Anglican Church, Diocese of Sydney. The Archbishop of Sydney's Overseas Relief and Aid Fund seeks to partner Australian and Sydney Christian donors with communities in developing countries, to support long-term development projects that improve immediate and long-term quality of life in those locations. The Archbishop of Sydney's Overseas Relief and Aid Fund implements projects that support healthcare, education, water supply and sanitation, income generation, and community leadership development. These long-term development projects assist in empowering and building the capacity of local communities to create sustainable change.

An example of the type of activities implemented is our support of Honeyworld Zimbabwe, which equips rural farmers around Bulawayo with skills in beekeeping, supplies equipment to the farmers, and enables them to access local markets to sell their honey.
