Purpose statement
Northern coalfields as a whole delivers aged care services with approx 45% concessional component. We also run and maintain in oartnership with department of Housing a block of community housing aimed at over disadvantaged people over 55yrs and people having a disability. We also work in co-operation with local RTO's and TAFE to foster work placements of students looking to enter the Aged Care arena. We also foster good relationships with other local charities will a view to better outcomes for the local people. One simple example if we regularly lend our buses to the local community transport network to cater for peak demand times and also when they have units off the road for repairs or services. We also donated approx 50 beds and other apparartus due a service club aimed at being sent to assist remote hospitals in Papua New Quinea.
Change of Purpose
Additional services soon to be offered will be day respite, dementia cafe, mens shed etc.
