Purpose statement
Providing the structure in order to host retreats and events that teach people values such as compassion and wisdom, secular ethics and living meaningful and enriching lives. 1. To preserve of the Mahayana Tradition by organising retreats with FPMT teachers and improving infrastructure to support those retreats. 2. To preserve Tibetan Buddhist philosophy, psychology, logic, metaphysics, art, sacred dance, sacred music, crafts and skills and Tibetan medicine. 3. To develop a cohesive community involving the 4 entities: Great Stupa of Universal Compassion, Thubten Shedrup Ling Monastery, Atisha Buddhist Centre and Machig Labdron Nunnery.
