Purpose statement
Academic Performance In 2024, Al-Faisal College once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to academic excellence through the outstanding performance of its Year 12 students in the Higher School Certificate (HSC) examinations. A total of 205 students sat at the HSC: 132 from the Auburn school and 73 from the Liverpool school Al-Faisal College Auburn achieved an exceptional 22nd place in the State, while Al-Faisal College Liverpool ranked 140th. These results reflect the strength of our academic programs, our dedicated teaching staff, and the culture of high expectations embedded across our schools. Students excelled in a number of subjects, particularly in: - Mathematics Advanced, Mathematics Extension 1 and Extension 2 - ranked first in the State - Mathematics Standard 1 and Standard 2 - ranked third in the State - Arabic Continuers and Mathematics Standard 1 courses - first place in the State Notable achievements include: - Number of Band 6 results: 285 (Auburn), 52 (Liverpool) - Number of students with ATAR of 90 or above: 72 (Auburn), 14 (Liverpool) - All Rounders (Band 6 in 10 or more units): 9 (Auburn) - Top Achievers in the State: 6 (Auburn), 1 (Liverpool) - Highest ATAR: 99.60 These results not only highlight our students academic excellence, but also reflect the sustained efforts of the teaching staff, Leadership teams, and the wider school community in supporting students learning journeys. Our schools continue to build on these achievements with a strong focus on evidence-based literacy and numeracy intervention programs such as Multilit and tailored mathematics enrichment, ensuring every student is supported to achieve their personal best. Beyond academics, our students actively participated in a variety of leadership, service, and interfaith initiatives including: - Parliament & Youth Leadership Conferences - National Constitutional Convention - Cyber Bullying Prevention campaigns - Women s Leadership Seminars - Ronald McDonald House and Australia s Biggest Morning Tea Initiatives - GRIP Student Leadership Conferences - Harmony Day and ANZAC Day commemorations Students have also been recognised through numerous awards, including: - Citizenship Awards - Jason Clare Community Service Awards - ADF Long Tan Youth Leadership and Teamwork & Future Innovators Awards - Ampol Best All Rounder Award - Victor Chang School Science Awards - Youth Community Service Awards - Australian Olympic Change-Maker Award - Reuben F. Scarf Memorial Foundation Award for Commitment Student Wellbeing Boost Funds In December 2023 Auburn, Liverpool and Campbelltown schools received funding of $135,219, $82,967 and $46,102 respectively from the Commonwealth Government for extra mental health and wellbeing resources and initiatives through Student Wellbeing Boost program. In 2024 the College used the funds to support mental health and wellbeing activities.
