The Archbishop of Sydney s Anglican Aid seeks to partner Sydney and Australian Christian donors with communities in impoverished areas around the world in order to support projects that those communities have identified as necessary and urgent. These projects have the main purpose of providing relief from poverty and distress to those in need. An example of the type of activities implemented is the installation of water infrastructure such as water tanks, gutters, irrigation systems and water-storage ponds in the drought prone region of Northern Kenya. The Archbishop of Sydney's Anglican Aid was also involved in various disaster relief projects in Madagascar, Kenya, Sudan, Syria, Nigeria and other countries.
