Purpose statement

Lifeline Direct delivers a suite of high quality services that have a measurable impact on reducing suicide in our communities. Lifeline Direct answered 86,562 crisis support calls in FY23. Lifeline Direct engaged in a broad range of community engagement activities during FY23 including community training, postvention activities including AfterCare, and support groups for those who have attempted suicide and also those bereaved by suicide. Lifeline Direct raised awareness about suicide prevention in communities through promotion activities and community events. Lifeline Direct also delivered approximately 5,116 individual counseling sessions through various delivery methods. LLD delivered a number of community-led suicide prevention programs covering the Northern Rivers (NSW) Region, the Great South Coast of Victoria, LGAs across the Hunter, New England, North West and Central Coast of NSW, and Alice Springs (NT). Lifeline Direct operates over 32 retail stores as well as 4 warehouses, across its geographic regions in NSW and VIC.
